About CryptoCalk

Building the fastest, most reliable financial tools for the crypto community.

Our Mission

Traders, investors, and researchers need reliable numbers before they act, whether that means sizing a position, projecting staking yields, or estimating tax exposure. CryptoCalk provides 128 specialized calculators: from DCA projections and liquidation prices to mining profitability — all fast, accurate, and free to use without an account.

Every calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your numbers stay on your device. The formulas are transparent, the interface is clean, and the site is available in 6 languages for users in over 50 countries.

Meet the Creator

Konstantin Iakovlev

Founder & Lead Developer

Developer with 10+ years at the intersection of finance and technology. I have been building financial web products since the early 2010s, first in traditional lending, then in cryptocurrency since 2017. CryptoCalk is the product of everything I have learned about what people actually need when making financial decisions.

Previously I created zanimaem.kz (Kazakhstan's leading financial comparison platform) and calk.kz (multi-purpose calculator platform). CryptoCalk is built with Astro, React, and TypeScript, every page is statically generated and every calculation runs client-side for maximum speed and privacy.

Why Trust CryptoCalk

  • Transparent calculations: every formula is visible on the page it belongs to. You can verify the math yourself.
  • Primary sources, not summaries: tax rates and thresholds are read from the statute or the tax authority itself — Portugal's figures from the Código do IRS, Germany's from EStG and ErbStG, Canada's from the Income Tax Act, Japan's from the NTA. Protocol facts are read from the protocol, down to Bitcoin Core's own dust threshold.
  • Verified on a schedule, and dated: 101 regulatory and protocol constants are tracked in a ledger with the source and date each was last confirmed. An automated monitor watches those sources; every flag is re-checked by hand against the primary source before a number changes. See the methodology.
  • Corrections are published, not buried: when we have got a number wrong — a Dash mining reward overstated 4×, a Japanese inheritance estimate ~3× too high — the fix and its reasoning go into the changelog.
  • Privacy-first: all calculations run in your browser. Your numbers are never sent to our servers.

How This Site Is Funded

CryptoCalk is free and carries display advertising. That is the entire business model, and it is worth being explicit about what it does not include:

  • No affiliate links. We do not earn a commission when you open an account at an exchange, a broker, or a wallet. There are no referral parameters anywhere on this site.
  • No paid placements or sponsored results. No exchange, miner, or protocol pays to appear in a comparison, a default value, or a recommendation.
  • Advertising never touches the math. Ad slots are placed around content; they have no access to your inputs and no influence on a formula, a fee assumption, or a tax rate.
  • No account, no tracking of your figures. Nothing you type into a calculator is transmitted or stored.

If you ever find a number here that looks like it was chosen to sell you something rather than to be correct, write to us — that is a bug, and it will be fixed and logged like any other.
